Woodview Elementary School Replacement
Spring Branch Independent School DistrictThe new Woodview Elementary School Replacement project is part of the SBISD 2017 Bond Program. Built in 1958, the existing 70,508 SF building was partially demolished, (keeping the existing library and gym structure), in preparation for the construction of a new two-story, 104,094 SF replacement school on the existing site. The new campus serves more than 700 students and faculty. During the construction, the existing school was relocated off-site to the District’s East Transition Campus.
The new campus includes classrooms, gymnasium, and all new utilities and sitework. Located in an established neighborhood, careful coordination efforts were made to handle construction access, parking and lay down, protection and renovation of the existing Spark Park, and special consideration of the work schedule to accommodate local resident needs. Additionally, legacy tree protection was necessary to protect the natural environment during the duration of the construction process.
