St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Career and Technology High School
Archdiocese of Galveston-HoustonPartnering with nearby downtown Houston businesses, the Texas Medical Center, and others who need a professionally trained workforce, the new Catholic Career and Technology High School is the first Catholic high school of its kind for the The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Located on a 10-acre campus, the 77-year-old former K-8, two-story brick building was renovated to offer programs for careers in information technology and web development; business, marketing and finance; education and training; and architecture and construction. The school is designed to accommodate up to 200 students.
Included in the more than 34,000 SF facility are mechanical and electrical equipment upgrades, classrooms, laboratory spaces, administrative spaces, conference rooms, break rooms, kitchen, library, and collaborative spaces. Also included is the partial interior and exterior renovations of the gymnasium to include boys and girls locker rooms and coaches offices, and the addition of an elevator tower.
