Montgomery County Forensics Facility Building

The new Montgomery County Forensics Building is a single-story, 24,850 SF facility that includes the medical examiners office, morgue that has a full autopsy complex and forensic labs, walk-in body storage coolers, x-ray room, and tissue recovery room. All autopsy spaces are stainless steel casework. The facility also houses the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab. Additional spaces include lobby, waiting areas, two meeting rooms, staff offices, and conference rooms. Exterior features include an outdoor patio, and a drive through sally port with overhead doors and air curtains. The building was designed to accommodate the future addition of the crime and forensics labs. Brookstone also performed all site clearing and related site work.

Security was paramount for the facility, and features include: ballistic fiberglass panels at sheetrock walls, bullet resistant doors and windows, vandal resistant walls in rooms such as evidence storage, strategically placed windows and landscaping, and access control and video surveillance into the site and throughout the building.
