Perhaps his father’s background as a World War II flight engineer influenced Steve’s fascination with movement. He loves to motorcycle, hike and bike; completed more than 400 skydiving jumps in college; and holds multiple pilot ratings. At Brookstone, he applies this affinity for motion by constantly looking at other industries for ideas to improve training, education and mentoring — programs that advance our employees’ management skills.
Steve uses a multi-faceted approach to developing internal and external project teams. He puts the right Brookstone team together to match the project’s complexity and the personalities of key players. He proactively assists the design team and owner to address risk, avoid potential problems and set expectations for successful project delivery.
Active for decades in the Associated General Contractors, Steve has helped direct the course of legislative action to benefit the built environment. He is a strong advocate for raising the profile of craft workers to assure a sustainable construction workforce.
