An independent college preparatory school for pre-K through 12 students, The John Cooper School was founded in 1988. To accommodate its robust arts curriculum and provide The Woodlands community with a cultural gathering facility for families, the school built a 550-seat full proscenium theater, black box theater and band-choir-dance classrooms.

This technically complex building includes overhead catwalks, extensive lighting, exceptionally quiet HVAC systems and electrical acoustical system technology. Brookstone implemented new technology by using a metal stud truss to frame the high exterior walls — the first such installation in Houston.
