To accommodate a new 8,400-pipe, Létourneau organ, the largest in the City of Houston, Brookstone completely rebuilt the existing sanctuary located on River Oaks Boulevard. We stripped walls down to the structure, salvaging wood, stone and irreplaceable stained glass for re-installation. Precision excavation under the existing building accommodated basements to relocate mechanical equipment. We also hardened walls for improved acoustics. Except for replacing the old wood shake roof with copper tile (a fire suppression enhancement), the new building looks exactly like the cherished historical building.
