Northside envisioned a 7 day/week campus for this vibrant church’s first permanent home and engaged a national church architect in their first Houston design commission. Brookstone implemented the edgy design combining brick, wood, stone, metal and stained concrete in a two-story building with a steeply sloped metal roof. Deep, shaded porches and terraces overlook a fishing pond and sand volleyball court. Basketball courts, disc golf course, picnic areas and playgrounds complete a recreational environment for all ages.
Brookstone’s second project for the campus was a children’s building with metal exterior paneling compatible with the original building. The lobby’s indoor playground and graphic murals create a playful vibe. Preschool classrooms have two doors — one full height for adults, the other half-height for children.
