Brookstone, L. P. has been selected as a finalist for the 16th Annual Associated General Contractors of America (AGC)/Willis Construction Safety Excellence Awards. With only two other contractors nationwide in the category of 100,001 – 300,000 man-hours, the finalists have been invited to the AGC of America Annual Convention in March in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Brookstone will present and be interviewed by industry safety professionals during the evaluation process for the award. The winners will be announced at the AGC/Willis Safety Awards Breakfast on March 19th at the convention.
The purpose of the Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) is to recognize those construction companies who excel based on their commitment to safety and occupational health. The comprehensive selection process looks for evidence of executive management commitment, active employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control and safety program innovation. Steve Dishman, President of Brookstone commented, “Just being invited as one of three in our category in the nation to present is a huge honor and testimony to the safety culture and results all of us have achieved. We have been invited to the award ceremony twice before, winning second place then first place. Our goal is to bring the first place award home to Houston, again!”
